Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) finished Sunday’s trading session lower, as the EGX30 declined by 1.99% to 52,206.7 points.
Likewise, the Shariah index went down by 2.18% to 6,457.27 points, while the EGX35-LV retreated by 2.51% to 6,366.48 points.
Both the EGX70 index and the EGX100 index ended the session lower by 2.23% at 19,255.25 points and by 2.26% to 25,421.74 points, respectively.
The turnover hit EGP 6.790 billion through the trading of 2.343 billion shares over 203,979 transactions, whereas the market cap totaled EGP 4.122 trillion.
Individuals represented 84.19% of trading transactions, while institutions made up 15.8%.
Egyptians dominated 95.74% of total trading, while foreign and Arab investors accounted for 1.81% and 2.45%, respectively.
Arab and foreign investors were buyers with EGP 36.655 million and EGP 58.684 million, respectively. Egyptian investors were sellers with EGP 95.339 million.
