Arab Finance: Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib conducted an inspection tour at the Ministries Square in downtown Cairo, according to a statement.
The government plans to make use of these assets and maximize their returns through partnerships with the private sector, after the ministries relocated to the New Administrative Capital (NAC), El-Khatib noted.
This initiative will be executed through the Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE), transforming these buildings into a hotel and cultural complex.
Studies are underway to complete the development of the remaining ministry buildings.
Misr Insurance Holding Company, a subsidiary of TSFE, owns 300 buildings in Khedival Cairo and Alexandria, which are currently being prepared for investment exploitation without selling.
