Arab Finance: Egypt's total foreign trade volume rose to $89.034 billion during the first half (H1) of 2026 from $74.990 billion in H1 2025, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) data.
During the January-June 2026 period, the total imports reached $61.011 billion, up year-on-year (YoY) from $48.871 billion.
Exports increased to $28.021billion in H1 2026 from $26.118 billion a year earlier.
In June, Egypt’s trade deficit rose 58.5% to $7.5 billion from $4.7 billion in the same month of 2025.
