Egypt’s X-GEN to showcase robotics, drone solutions at Cairo ICT 2026

Arab Finance: Egypt-based technology company X-GEN is preparing to showcase its integrated robotics, drone, and autonomous systems ecosystem at Cairo ICT 2026, scheduled for November 7 to 10, as it seeks to expand the adoption of advanced technologies across key Egyptian industries, as per a press release.

Specializing in robotics, drones, intelligent systems, and integrated operational solutions, X-GEN combines local engineering expertise with technologies developed by international partners to deliver applications tailored to the Egyptian market.

The company focuses on addressing operational challenges across several sectors, including precision agriculture, infrastructure inspection, facility management, security and surveillance, logistics, emergency response, and advanced robotics.

Rather than supplying standalone equipment, X-GEN provides end-to-end solutions covering the assessment of operational requirements, technology selection, systems integration, deployment, and ongoing operations, with an emphasis on improving efficiency, safety, and productivity.

“Our ambition goes beyond bringing the world's most advanced technologies to Egypt. We want to build an ecosystem capable of deploying, integrating and developing these technologies to create real value for the economy, industry and society. We want to see robotics, drones and intelligent systems operating across our farms, factories, facilities and infrastructure, making operations more efficient, safer and more productive. The future is not something we wait for. It's something we actively work to help build,” Amir Wahid, Co-Founder and CEO of X-GEN, said.

To support this approach, X-GEN is developing partnerships with international manufacturers and technology providers specializing in robotics, drones, and intelligent systems, enabling it to introduce global technologies while adapting their applications to local industry requirements.

Alongside these collaborations, the company is investing in building Egyptian technical capabilities across engineering integration, operations, maintenance, training, and research and development.

X-GEN has also begun investing in local manufacturing and assembly activities as part of its efforts to localize advanced technologies and strengthen Egypt's industrial capabilities.

These initiatives form part of the company's broader ambition to expand Egypt's role beyond technology adoption toward the development, integration, and practical application of autonomous systems across industries.
