Electro Cable Egypt shifts to losses in H1 2026

Arab Finance: Electro Cable Egypt turned to consolidated net losses attributable to the owners valued at EGP 200.833 million in the first half (H1) of 2026, compared to profits of EGP 487.121 million in H1 2025, according to the financial results.

Loss per share hit EGP 0.06 at the end of June 2026, against earnings per share (EPS) of EGP 0.15 a year earlier. Net sales declined to EGP 4.329 billion from EGP 6.438 billion.

As for the standalone business, the company shifted to net losses with EGP 50.821 million in the first six months of 2026, compared to profits totaling EGP 26.451 million a year earlier.

Non-consolidated revenues shrank to EGP 2.050 billion in H1 2026 from EGP 2.808 billion in H1 2025.

During the first quarter (Q1) of 2026, Electro Cable Egypt incurred EGP 241.612 million in consolidated net losses after tax and attributable to the parent company, versus profits worth EGP 451.713 million in Q1 2025.
