FABMISR, Egypt’s Education Ministry implement Green Schools project at Cairo Girls’ School

Arab Finance: First Abu Dhabi Bank Misr (FABMISR) marked the completion of the “Green Schools for a Sustainable Future” project at Asmaa Secondary School for Girls in Cairo Governorate, in collaboration with the Egyptian Ministry of Education and Technical Education and Ain El Bee’ah Association for Environmental, Agricultural Services and Sustainable Development, as per an emailed press release.

The project transformed the school into a model for integrating sustainability solutions within public schools, benefiting around 3,500 female students and 150 teachers.

The initiative includes the establishment of a solar-powered greywater treatment unit, the development of green spaces supported by modern irrigation systems, and the implementation of a waste separation system. It also features awareness programs designed to promote environmentally responsible behavior among students and teachers.

According to FABMISR, the project aims to provide a scalable model for integrating sustainability practices across public schools in Egypt.
