Arab Finance: The Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has required non-banking financial institutions to submit monthly data on their activities through the authority’s platform within the first 15 days of each month, according to a statement.
Under Circular No. 7 of 2026, the FRA has opened the platform from October 12 to October 29 to allow entities to complete the required submissions and review and verify data entered since the beginning of 2026.
Non-banking finance companies and entities are required to review the data before submitting it in order to ensure accuracy and consistency with the actual records.
Chairman Islam Azzam said the measures aim to strengthen the FRA’s supervisory and regulatory capabilities by securing comprehensive and high-quality data on non-banking financial activities. This will help the authority analyze sectoral performance indicators, identify potential risks at an early stage, and address emerging challenges more efficiently.
This move builds on Azzam’s Decision No. 2684 of 2026, which requires consumer finance companies to establish the technological infrastructure needed to link their databases with the authority’s systems.
Under the decision, companies are obligated to provide data on customers upon financing approval, real-time transactions involving the purchase of goods and services, classifications of financed goods and services, customer repayment records, and indicators of their financial solvency.
