Egypt gold prices ease as global bullion falls on stronger dollar

Arab Finance: Global gold prices fell on Wednesday, October 7, driven by a stronger US dollar. Spot gold declined 0.98% to $4,122.73 per ounce, while US gold futures for December delivery fell 0.91% to $4,149.

“The downside remains supported by geopolitical uncertainty, concerns over government debt and inflation, and central bank demand,” ActivTrades director and CEO Ricardo Evangelista said.

In Egypt, the 24-karat gold was priced at EGP 7,032.97 for purchase and EGP 6,947.15 for sale, according to Dahab Masr at 1:22 PM.

The 21-karat gold hit EGP 6,154.46 for buying and EGP 6,079.36 for selling.

The 18-karat gold reached EGP 5,275.25 for buying and EGP 5,210.88 for selling.

The gold coin amounted to EGP 49,235.68 for purchase and EGP 48,634.88 for sale.
