Madbouly opens premium tax services center in New Alamein, launches real estate tax app

Arab Finance: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly inaugurated the premium tax services center in New Alamein and witnessed the launch of a mobile application designed to simplify tax procedures for real estate transactions, as per a statement.

Madbouly said the government would continue to develop the tax system and foster a customer service culture to simplify procedures for investors and citizens.

The government is also working to create a more attractive investment environment by providing additional tax incentives and facilities, he added.

Additionally, Madbouly highlighted that the government would proceed with the tax reforms it has already initiated, aiming to strengthen trust with the business community and improve cooperation among the state, investors, and taxpayers.

The real estate transactions application supports the government’s efforts to digitize tax services and streamline procedures for citizens. The service will also be available to Egyptians working abroad in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Meanwhile, Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk said the government was working to deliver a tangible improvement in the quality of tax services provided to its partners.

The ministry’s approach is centered on facilitation and simplification through an integrated electronic tax system, Kouchouk added. The system is intended to automate and streamline procedures, promote voluntary compliance, attract new taxpayers, and improve satisfaction among investors, encouraging them to expand their production and export activities.

Kouchouk also pointed out that the real estate transactions application would provide citizens with faster and more accessible services.

For her part, Rasha Abdel Aal, Head of the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA), noted that the government is also seeking to broaden the taxpayer base by strengthening trust with the tax community. She said the authority was paying close attention to service details to ensure a meaningful quality improvement.
