Arab Finance: Madinet Masr has awarded construction contracts worth approximately EGP 1.38 billion to several contractors for Origami, part of its Taj City development, as per a disclosure.
The work covers 271 buildings with a combined built-up area of approximately 78,760 square meters. Origami includes villas, twin houses, and townhouses, with units ranging from 152 to 606 square meters.
The awards contribute to Madinet Masr’s target of approximately EGP 18 billion in construction contracts during 2026. The company said it has awarded approximately EGP 9.8 billion in contracts so far this year as it carries out development plans across its portfolio.
Inspired by traditional Japanese origami, the project’s design uses white facades, clean lines, and simple forms.
