MNT Tech Holding applies to list 1.6B shares on EGX

Arab Finance: MNT Tech Holding for Financial Investments, an arm of fintech unicorn MNT-Halan, has applied to list 1.6 billion shares on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) main market, with issued capital totaling EGP 160 million, as per a disclosure.

The proposed listing covers shares with a par value of EGP 0.10 each.

The company is finalizing the documents required for the application to be submitted to the EGX Listing Committee. The filing therefore represents an application to list the shares and does not constitute final listing approval or the start of trading.

The EGX said the application announcement would remain published for five working days from September 8.

In June, Bloomberg reported that MNT-Halan is planning an initial public offering (IPO) on the EGX.

The IPO is expected to value MNT-Halan at between $900 million and $1 billion, the sources revealed.
