NBE leads Egypt’s 2025 most valuable brands: Brand Finance

Arab Finance: Egypt’s top 10 most valuable brands hit a combined value of $3.3 billion in 2025, according to the latest ranking by Brand Finance.

The report attributed the growth mostly to the banking and tobacco sectors, with the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Nakhla standing out for their strong performance this year.

The lender maintained its position as Egypt’s most valuable brand for the third year in a row, with its value rising 9% to $717 million, mainly driven by higher interest rates, boosting income from high-yield savings products and financial management.

Moreover, the bank advanced its digital services and sustainable finance efforts, enhancing accessibility and responsibility for customers.

Meanwhile, the Commercial International Bank (CIB), with a brand value up 3% to $351 million, remained Egypt’s strongest brand, holding the same ranking as in 2024.

CIB's Brand Strength Index (BSI) score hit 77.6/100, with an AA+ brand strength rating, which is largely driven by the bank’s strong consumer trust and preference, reinforcing its credibility as a reliable and widely favored banking choice.

On the other hand, Nakhla was the fastest-growing among Egyptian brands in 2025, with its value jumping 32% to $418 million.

The company’s performance was supported by a diverse product range that aligns with consumer demand, along with the continued expansion of the global hookah tobacco market.

Andrew Campbell, Managing Director, Brand Finance Middle East, commented: “The growth we’re seeing among Egypt’s top brands this year really shows how the game is changing. It’s not just about strong numbers anymore – it’s about having a clear direction, staying flexible, and genuinely connecting with people. The brands that are listening, adapting, and staying relevant are the ones coming out on top.”
