Petrojet, Enppi secure 6-year PDO framework covering over $6B project portfolio

Arab Finance: Egyptian engineering and construction companies Petrojet and Enppi have secured a six-year engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) framework agreement with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), qualifying the consortium to compete for projects within a portfolio valued at more than $6 billion, the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources stated.

Under the agreement, signed at PDO’s headquarters in Oman, the Petrojet-Enppi consortium was selected as one of four international contractors and consortia eligible to bid competitively for projects covered by the portfolio. The $6 billion figure represents the total value of the project pipeline and not a contract directly awarded to the Egyptian consortium.

The consortium will provide integrated engineering services while supporting PDO’s In-Country Value (ICV) objectives. Its planned contribution includes transferring technical knowledge, developing Omani engineering talent, and increasing the participation of local companies and domestic supply chains in line with Oman Vision 2040.

The agreement supports the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ strategy to expand the international presence of petroleum-sector project companies, enter new markets, and increase exports of engineering and technical services.

Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi has directed sector companies to expand across regional and international markets, strengthen their competitiveness, and draw on their experience in delivering energy projects abroad.
