Delta Sugar eyes 330,000 tons of local output: Chairman

ArabFinance: Delta Sugar intends to produce approximately 330,000 tons of domestic beet sugar, Al Borsa News cited Chairman and Managing Director Ahmed Abo el Yazeed on January 9^th.

The company is expected to obtain 2.3 million tons of sugar beet from local farmers in the new season, Abo el Yazeed added.

Delta Sugar has executed all maintenance works for the factory’s production lines, which can accommodate up to 20,000 tons of sugar beet plant on a daily basis, according to the official.

Last November, Delta Sugar said it planted 120,000 feddans of land with sugar beet.
