Delta Sugar swings to loss

ArabFinance: Delta Sugar incurred a net loss of EGP 267,037,670 in 2020, according to the unaudited financial statements filed to the Egyptian Exchange.
In 2019, the company posted a net profit of EGP 42,891,334.
The company intends to produce approximately 330,000 tons of domestic beet sugar, Al Borsa News cited Chairman and Managing Director Ahmed Abo el Yazeed on January 9th.
Delta Sugar has executed all maintenance works for the factory’s production lines, which can accommodate up to 20,000 tons of sugar beet plant on a daily basis, according to the official.
Delta Sugar is an Egypt-based shareholding company that operates in the food processing industry sector. The company is engaged in the manufacture of white sugar and related products. It operates one factory, which produces over 270,000 tons of white sugar annually.
