GSK Egypt posts 454% YoY surge in 2021 unaudited consolidated profit

ArabFinance: GlaxoSmithKline (GSK – Egypt) (BIOC) reported a 454% year-on-year (YoY) surge in consolidated profit after tax for the full year 2021, according to the company’s unaudited financial income filed to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on May 15th.
Consolidated net profit after tax stood at EGP 155 million in 2021, compared to EGP 28 million in 2020.
The company also generated consolidated revenues of EGP 1.81 billion last year, down by 9% YoY from EGP 1.99 billion.
Meanwhile, the company’s standalone net profit after tax grew by 278% to EGP 166 million in 2021 from EGP 44 million in 2020.
GSK Egypt, a member of the British pharmaceutical company Glaxo Group, is an Egypt-based company engaged in the manufacture, packaging, marketing, sale, and distribution of pharmaceutical products.
