Ceramica Remas posts 84.6% YoY drop in Q1 profits

Arab FinanceThe Arab Ceramic Company (Ceramica Remas) (CERA) posted a 84.6% year-on-year (YoY) decline in net profit after tax for the first quarter (Q1) of 2022, according to the financial income statement filed to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on May 22nd.

Net profit after tax reached EGP 3.83 million in Q1 2022, compared to a profit of EGP 24.95 million in Q1 2021.

Moreover, the company recorded net sales of EGP 208.40 million in the three-month period ended March 31st, down from EGP 222.66 million in the same period last year.

Ceramica Remas is an Egypt-based public shareholding company engaged in the construction supplies industry sector. The company is primarily involved in the production and distribution of sanitary ware sets and ceramic tiles.
