Arab Finance: Foreign Minister and President of the 27th session of the UN Climate Change Conference Sameh Shoukry joined a virtual ministerial meeting of the Major Economies Forum on Energy and Climate (MEF), according to a statement by the Foreign Affairs Ministry on March 14^th.

The meeting tackled the outcomes of COP27 and preparations for COP28 that will take place in November in the UAE.

The meeting comes within the framework of preparing for the summit-level meeting of the Major Economies Forum on Energy and Climate that will be held next month, the ministry’s spokesman said.

Launched in 2009, the MEF aims to facilitate candid dialogue among major emitting countries, both developed and developing, to garner the political leadership needed to advance efforts against climate change.
