Arab Finance: Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat has chaired the first meeting of the ministerial group for entrepreneurship, as per a statement.
During the meeting, Al-Mashat reviewed the entrepreneurial community’s top concerns in terms of the financing gaps.
She also reviewed the development of incentives for foreign investors, including tax exemptions, to encourage them to invest in start-ups.
This is in addition to reconsidering the existing laws and regulations to ensure their compliance with international standards and start-up requirements.
Furthermore, the minister discussed the best international practices in entrepreneurship and key methodologies for issuing licenses and regulations in various countries, stressing the importance of leveraging these experiences to cope with the challenges facing the sector.
On September 11th, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly issued a decree on the formation of a ministerial group for entrepreneurship.
The group aims to promote start-ups and the entrepreneurial climate to achieve rapid and sustainable economic development based on competitiveness and knowledge, contributing to creating decent job opportunities.
