Israel’s Leviathan gas field partners have been given until October 30th to meet the conditions required for the approval of their $35 billion, 130 billion cubic meter gas export agreement with Egypt, according to Middle East Economic Survey (MEES)

Israel's Leviathan natural gas field has penned a deal estimated at a value of $35 billion to supply gas to Egypt, NewMed Energy, one of the partners in the field, announced.

The start-up date of the planned 600 million cubic feet per day (cfd) Nitzana pipeline, set to boost Israeli natural gas exports to Egypt, has been pushed to the first half (H1) of 2028 due to ongoing disagreements over cost-sharing and volume allocation.
