Arab Finance: Nasr General Contracting Company (Hassan Mohamed Allam), a subsidiary of the Holding Company for Construction and Development (HCCD), has won a contract to execute a project for the South Refineries Company, affiliated with the Iraqi Ministry of Oil, in Basra, according to a statement.
Valued at approximately $40 million, the project award aligns with the company's plan to expand in the Iraqi market and strengthen its presence in infrastructure and energy projects in the region.
This supports the Ministry of Public Business Sector's strategy to develop and expand its affiliated construction companies abroad.
Although the bidding and awarding phases witnessed strong competition among several local and international companies, Nasr General Contracting, in partnership with Sama Al Basra Company, secured the project.
This was attributed to thanks to its specialized technical expertise and proven track record of success in executing major projects both within Egypt and abroad.
The company won the project as it successfully met all technical requirements and standards, further anchoring its position as a reliable partner for major projects in Iraq in the coming period.
On his part, Minister of the Public Business Sector Mohamed Shimi noted that this award represents an important step towards strengthening the Egyptian presence in development and infrastructure projects in the region.
It also opens new horizons for national companies to expand abroad and actively participate in implementing major projects that contribute to supporting the national economy, added Shimi.
