QatarEnergy has expanded its presence in Egypt’s energy sector through a new partnership with Italy’s Eni in the North Rafah offshore concession in the Mediterranean Sea.

QatarEnergy has acquired a 40% participating interest in Egypt’s North Rafah offshore exploration block through a farm-in agreement with Eni, which will remain the operator with a 60% stake.

QatarEnergy has signed an agreement with Shell to acquire a 27% participating interest in the North Cleopatra exploration block offshore in Egypt, as per a press release.
