Arab Finance: CFA Society Egypt has launched the 16th edition of the CFA Institute Research Challenge in Egypt, bringing together 27 university teams to compete in producing the best equity research report on Gourmet Egypt.

The participating teams are required to conduct fundamental analysis and financial valuation of Gourmet Egypt to determine the fair value of its shares.

The launch took place at an event hosted by Nile University as part of the global competition organized by the CFA Institute. The initiative aims to strengthen students’ research and financial analysis skills while preparing them for careers in investment and capital markets.

The local final is scheduled for February 6, 2027. The winning team will advance to the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regional competition, with an opportunity to progress to the global finals, while the runner-up will participate in the Middle East regional competition.

The competition is being held in Egypt for the 16th consecutive year, alongside around 120 local competitions worldwide involving more than 1,100 universities and 7,000 students across 100 countries.

The participating universities include the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, the American University in Cairo (AUC), the German University in Cairo (GUC), the British University in Egypt (BUE), and the universities of Cairo, Ain Shams, Mansoura, Assiut, and Suez Canal, along with several other public, private, and non-profit universities.
