Arab Finance: Misr El-Gedida has secured Gold Certification under the Green Pyramid Rating System (GPRS) for the first phase of its Jadinah development in New Heliopolis, making it the first sustainable residential project in Egypt to receive the certification, as per a disclosure.
The certification was presented during the “Harvesting Success Stories of Sustainable Urban Development in Egypt” event, organized by the Housing and Building National Research Center (HBRC) under the patronage of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities.
Spanning 300 acres, Jadinah’s first phase is planned as an integrated residential community in New Heliopolis. The project received the certification for meeting GPRS requirements across its planning, design, and construction.
Alongside the certification, Misr El-Gedida signed a strategic partnership with e& Business to develop Jadinah’s digital infrastructure as part of the company’s digital transformation strategy.
The partnership covers Triple Play services and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, as well as a smart application that will give New Heliopolis residents access to a range of digital services. The infrastructure is intended to support the city’s development in line with smart-city standards.
Commenting on the two developments, Sameh El Sayed, Managing Director and CEO of Misr El-Gedida, said: “Receiving the Gold Certification under the Green Pyramid Rating System for the Jadinah project represents another significant milestone that reflects our commitment to implementing the highest sustainability standards across our developments."
