Arab Finance: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with officials from a number of Italian mining firms to discuss cooperation prospects to optimize the use of mineral resources in Egypt, according to a presidency statement on June 20^th.

The meeting came within the framework of the country’s interest in luring investments of major Italian firms in the sectors of mining and manufacturing industries, the presidency spokesperson said.

This aims to increase the country’s industrial added value, localize the industry, transfer knowledge and technology, and build Egyptian capacities in these industries to provide further job opportunities and scale production and exports up, he added.
