Trading on T-bills in EGX to kick off in Q3

Arab Finance: Trading on government treasury bills (T-bills) in the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) will start during the coming months of August and September, EGX’s chairman Rami El-Dokany told Asharq Business on June 22nd.

T-bills, one of the government debt instruments, is issued to its bearer for a maturity period ranging between three to 12 months.

Investments of government authorities in stocks increased to EGP 23.5 billion now from EGP 4 billion a year ago, El-Dokany revealed during a press conference held at the EGX’s headquarters.
