Arab Finance: The Egyptian private sector has secured a total of over $2.2 billion as development funding since the beginning of the year, according to a statement by the cabinet on September 4th.
This represents 84.6% of the total development funding obtained by the private sector during 2022.
This came during a meeting headed by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to follow up on the government's efforts to strengthen economic relations with development partners.
The Egyptian government is targeting to increase the private sector’s contribution to 65% of total investments over the coming years.
