Edita Food Industries starts operating frozen baked food segment

Arab Finance: Edita Food Industries has introduced its newest frozen baked products line, Molto Forni, marking the beginning of the frozen food segment's operations, according to a statement on October 8th.
A variety of new frozen items designed for "consumption at home" will be introduced by Edita under the frozen food category. These products will be an expansion of its current on-the-go snack packages.
Molto Forni includes two subcategories: frozen croissants and puff pastry products.
“Our venture into the frozen food sector falls right within our growth strategy of expanding into new segments and diversifying our revenue streams. We are very excited to market this new chapter in our growth story only four months after completing our 100% acquisition, and we look forward to replicating our success stories of innovating and growing in this nascent market under our new Molto Forni line,” Chairman Hani Berzi stated.
In May, Edita acquired 100% of the frozen bakery producer Fancy Foods with an enterprise value of EGP 380 million, with the aim of tapping into the frozen bakery segment and generate more revenue streams.
Founded in 1996, Edita is an Egypt-based leader in the packaged snack food market that operates within the manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of a range of branded baked snack products, including packaged cakes, croissants, rusks, and wafers, as well as selected confectionery and candy products.
