Arab Finance: Minister of Planning and Economic Development and International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat launched the second edition of the ‘Narrative for Comprehensive Development: Policies Supporting Growth and Employment’.
This edition outlines the government’s plan to achieve “Egypt Vision 2030” objectives within various sectoral strategies, taking into account the regional and global economic developments.
This model is based on maximizing the utilization of human resources and improving the quality of life, targeting key sectors with higher added value and greater access to tradable markets to boost exports.
Moreover, the narrative covers 16 key themes: human development, driving macroeconomic stability, promoting fiscal sustainability through fiscal and monetary policies, public investment governance, and financial development.
It addresses industrial development, local and foreign investments, foreign trade, green transition, the non-banking financial sector, and labour market efficiency.
The narrative also underscores the strategic importance of the Suez Canal and introduces incentives for the real estate market.
In addition, it sets out detailed performance targets for each ministry and links them to the implementation of Egypt’s IMF-backed National Program for Structural Reforms (NSRP), which is being carried out under the International Monetary Fund’s Extended Fund Facility (EFF).
