Arab Finance: The Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China’s Norinco for cooperation in defense manufacturing, as per a statement.

The signing took place on the first day of the fourth edition of the Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX 2025).

Chairman of the AOI Mokhtar Abdel Latif said the collaboration builds on joint work already carried out with the Chinese company.

He noted that the partnership focuses on localizing technology and strengthening local manufacturing in defense systems by making use of the advanced capabilities at the aircraft factory.

Abdel Latif also added that AOI aims for the factory to become a hub for cooperation and expertise exchange with Norinco, in order to serve demands for defence industries in Egypt and both neighboring and partner countries.
