Arab Finance: A delegation from the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, led by Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif, participated in the Education World Forum 2026 in London, the UK, from May 17th to 20th, 2026, according to an emailed press release.
This year’s forum was held under the theme: “Strong, sustainable and inclusive education: building resilience, fostering equity, and driving change.”
The Education World Forum (EWF) is the world’s largest annual gathering of education and skills ministers. Supported by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, the Department for Education, and the British Council, the forum provided a global platform for dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of policy and practice across education systems worldwide.
As part of the official program, Abdel Latif delivered a keynote address during the plenary session titled “Educating for Future Readiness in a Rapidly Changing World,” highlighting Egypt’s ongoing efforts to modernize the education system by strengthening critical thinking and digital skills, expanding access to quality education, enhancing technical and vocational education pathways, and leveraging technology to improve learning outcomes.
Egypt’s participation reflected the country’s continued commitment to aligning its education reforms with international best practices and the evolving needs of the future workforce.
On the sidelines of the forum, the minister held a series of bilateral meetings with international counterparts and global education leaders.
