EGX shows varied performance on 20 September

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed a mixed performance on Sunday, September 20, as the EGX30 index went down 0.23% to 55,371.47 points.

The Shariah index also declined by 1.16% to 6,671.4 points

On the other hand, the EGX35-LV rose by 0.17% to 6,899.74 points. The EGX70 index closed the session higher by 0.01% at 21,063.3 points.

Meanwhile, the EGX100 index went down by 0.18% to 27,633.23 points.

EGX’s turnover reached EGP 11.838 billion through the trading of 2.678 billion shares over 261,879 transactions. The market cap totaled EGP 4.384 trillion.

Individuals controlled 80.09% of trading transactions, while institutions represented 19.9%.

Egyptians took over 95.07% of total trading, while Arab and foreign investors equaled 3.51% and 1.42%, respectively.

Egyptian and foreign traders were net buyers with EGP 144.784 million and EGP 43.532 million, respectively. Arab investors were sellers with EGP 188.317 million.
