Arab Finance: Egypt’s net foreign assets (NFAs) jumped to EGP 1.454 trillion at the end of July 2026 from EGP 900.545 billion a year earlier, according to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) data.
Last July, net foreign assets with the CBE hit EGP 2.811 trillion, while foreign assets with banks recorded EGP 2.335 trillion.
Total amount of foreign liabilities with the CBE as well as banks reached EGP 3.691 trillion.
At the end of June 2026, NFAs of Egypt’s banking sector rose year-on-year (YoY) to EGP 1.1378 trillion from EGP 741.834 billion.
