Arab Finance: Net foreign assets (NFAs) of Egypt’s banking sector hit EGP 1.1378 trillion at the end of June 2026, an annual climb from EGP 741.834 billion, according to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) data.
On a monthly basis, NFAs jumped from the EGP 1.198 trillion recorded at the end of May 2026.
Total foreign assets with the CBE stood at EGP 2.682 trillion, while foreign assets with banks amounted to EGP 2.257 trillion.
Meanwhile, the total amount of foreign liabilities with both the CBE and banks reached EGP 3.561 trillion last June.
