Arab Finance: Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid Saleh met with French Ambassador to Egypt Eric Chevallier to explore opportunities for expanding French investment in Egypt and advance preparations for an upcoming Egyptian investment forum in France, as per a statement.

The discussions reviewed the operations of French companies in Egypt, the challenges affecting their businesses, and measures to support higher production and future expansions in coordination with the relevant authorities.

Farid underscored the strength of economic and investment ties between Egypt and France and the role of French investments across several sectors. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining direct engagement with the French business community, facilitating the growth of companies already operating in Egypt, and attracting new investors.

The two sides also reviewed the proposed agenda and priority sectors for the Egyptian investment forum in France, as well as the companies and investors expected to be targeted. The event is intended to promote investment opportunities in Egypt among the French business community.

Farid said the ministry is working to simplify investment procedures and resolve the operational difficulties facing companies, supporting a more favorable investment environment and enabling businesses to expand.

The meeting coincided with Farid’s visits to the ECPC ready-mix concrete plant and the factory of French cosmetics company L’Oréal in 10th of Ramadan City.
