Arab Finance: The fifth edition of the Egypt Mining Forum, the largest since its launch, is set to kick off on Monday in the New Capital under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, according to a statement.

Held under the theme “Unlocking Egypt and the Arabian-Nubian Shield’s Exploration Potential,” the forum takes place during September 28–29.

The event will gather major Egyptian, Arab, and international mining companies and investors, alongside mining ministers and officials from Arab and African countries, to explore investment opportunities and strengthen partnerships in the sector.

Petroleum Minister Karim Badawi said the forum will showcase Egypt’s mining investment opportunities and recent reforms designed to improve the investment climate, boost mineral exploration, and promote downstream industries that add value to raw materials, create jobs, and support exports.

The forum will also announce the results of mining investment opportunities offered in June for gold, phosphate, talc, and kaolin exploration under an open-sector system.

On the forum’s second day, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly will chair a roundtable with major mining investors and companies to discuss investment opportunities and ways to increase the utilization of Egypt’s mineral resources.

The fourth edition of the event kicked off on July 15, 2025, under the theme "Accelerating Commercial Discovery, Exploration, Extraction."
