Arab Finance: Trade exchange between Egypt and Saudi Arabia hit $7.1 billion in the first six months of 2026, 20.3% up from $5.9 billion a year earlier, according to data released by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
Egyptian exports to the Kingdom rose by 20% year on year (YoY) in the first half (H1) of 2026, valuing at $1.8 billion from $1.5 billion.
Egypt's imports from Saudi Arabia jumped 20.5% YoY to $5.3 billion at the end of June 2026 from $4.4 billion.
During fiscal year (FY) 2024/2025, Saudi investments in Egypt reached $1.1 billion, 41.8% up from the $775.5 million recorded in FY2023/2024.
Meanwhile, Egypt injected $295 million in investments across the Gulf country, a 55.3% leap from $190 million in the previous FY.
Remittances from Egyptians working in Saudi Arabia totaled $12 billion in FY2024/2025, up 50% YoY from $8 billion, while remittances from Saudi citizens working in Egypt hiked by 978.4% YoY to $125.1 million from $11.6 million.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud recently discussed ways to boost bilateral cooperation and expand investment flows between the two countries.
