Arab Finance: The Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) approved Edita Food Industries to hold its extraordinary general meeting (EGM) to discuss its board's proposal to increase the company's authorized and issued capital, according to a disclosure.

The company seeks to raise its authorized capital to EGP 1 billion from EGP 360 million.

Shareholders will also vote on increasing the issued and paid-up capital by EGP 138.902 million to EGP 418.907 million from EGP 280.005 million.

The proposed increase will be carried out through the issuance of nearly 694.510 million bonus shares with a par value of EGP 0.20 per share, financed from shareholders' share of the 2025 dividend distribution.
