FRA grants 7 entities approvals for non-banking financial activities

Arab Finance: The Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has granted seven companies and entities approvals covering incorporation, registration, licensing, and additional activities across Egypt’s capital market and non-banking financial sectors, as per a statement.

The decisions include registering Sympl to collect receivables for non-banking financial institutions, bringing the number of companies registered for the activity to 12 since the issuance of FRA Board Resolution No. 278 of 2025.

Fawry received preliminary approval to add factoring to its corporate purpose. Before obtaining an operating license, the company must complete procedures with the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) to amend Articles 2 and 3 of its articles of association and submit the required documents to the FRA. It must also change its name to reflect the additional activity, in accordance with Law No. 159 of 1981 and its executive regulations.

In the capital market sector, the FRA licensed e-Finance and Oliv to participate in establishing companies that issue securities or increasing the capital of such companies.

Golden Way Securities received a license for bond dealing, brokerage, and intermediary services, adding the activity to its existing scope of operations. Business Community for Financial Investments was licensed to form and manage securities portfolios and investment funds, following the addition of these activities to its corporate purpose.
