Arab Finance: Gold prices declined in Egypt in Wednesday's trading, tracking stable global prices after the precious metal pared gains from the previous session.
Globally, spot gold traded at about $4,029.8 per ounce for buying and $4,029.30 for selling, while the international price of 24-karat gold stood at around $129.58 per gram for buying and $129.56 for selling, according to Gold Egypt data by 2:24 pm.
In the local market, 24-karat gold was priced at EGP 6,691.11 per gram for buying and EGP 6,604.54 for selling.
Meanwhile, 21-karat gold, the most widely traded in Egypt, fell to EGP 5,855.31 for buying and EGP 5,779.55 for selling, compared with Tuesday's closing levels.
The price of 18-karat gold reached EGP 5,018.14 for buying and EGP 4,992.43 for selling at the start of trading.
