Arab Finance: Huawei is set to participate in the Egypt Mining Forum for the first time, showcasing its digital technologies aimed at supporting efficient and sustainable mining operations in Egypt, according to an emailed press release.
Held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and hosted by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, the two-day forum brings together government officials, mining executives, investors, and other industry stakeholders.
As part of its participation, Huawei will showcase solutions that integrate digital technologies, power electronics, and renewable energy to address the evolving power needs of industrial operations, particularly in remote and off-grid mining locations.
The company is also expected to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a strategic industry partner to establish a framework for collaboration and explore opportunities to deploy Huawei Digital Power technologies across Egypt’s mining sector.
Through its participation, Huawei aims to engage with mining industry stakeholders and explore opportunities to support the sector’s energy needs through reliable, energy-efficient, electrified, and lower-emission power solutions.
