Arab Finance: IBM has named Tamer El Kholy as General Manager for North East Africa, succeeding Marwa Abbas, who previously oversaw the company's operations across Egypt and the wider North East Africa region, as per a press release.

El Kholy will be responsible for IBM's strategy and operations across the region. His role includes supporting the company's business growth, strengthening relationships with clients and business partners, and working with organizations on the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), hybrid cloud technologies, data utilization, and digital transformation.

The appointment comes as El Kholy brings more than 28 years of experience in the technology sector. Over the course of his career, he has held senior leadership positions at IBM, Microsoft, and Dell EMC, working with organizations across the region on technology adoption, business transformation, and innovation.
