Saudi Index falls 4.5% at Sunday's opening as regional conflict intensifies

Arab Finance: The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) dropped around 4.5% at the opening of trading on Sunday, March 1st, as regional markets came under pressure following escalating military tensions involving the US, Israel, and Iran.

The index opened at 10,238 points, weighed down by declines in leading Saudi stocks, including Saudi Aramco, Al Rajhi Bank, and National Commercial Bank – Saudi Arabia, amid heightened uncertainty across regional markets.

The sell-off comes against the backdrop of growing geopolitical turmoil in the Middle East after an exchange of military attacks, prompting investors to cut risk exposure across regional financial markets.
