Singaporean investments in Egypt currently total around $500 million, with several companies planning expansions that could potentially double the value of their investments.
Talks covered opportunities in technology, logistics, food industries, fertilizers, retail, and manufacturing.
Indorama presented its fertilizer project in Ain Sokhna, with investments of around $525 million, while logistics companies outlined plans to establish new warehouses.
During the meeting, Farid highlighted the ministry’s efforts to accelerate digitalization and launch the TradeTech Sandbox initiative, which aims to prompt innovative solutions for foreign trade and strengthen Egypt’s export infrastructure.
