Arab Finance: The State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Unit signed a cooperation protocol with e-finance for Digital and Financial Investments to enhance AI-powered applications within the Rashid platform, according to a statement.
The agreement was signed by Hashem El-Sayed, Assistant Prime Minister and CEO of the SOE Unit, and Hossam Hanfy Elgoly, Managing Director of e-finance.
The protocol aims to deploy advanced digital technologies in operating critical government systems and safeguarding their data, which will contribute to improving the efficiency of managing the state-owned enterprises' portfolio. This is in addition to enhancing the quality, accuracy, and reliability of data used in decision-making.
Under the agreement, e-finance will provide secure digital infrastructure services certified by regulatory authorities and international organizations to ensure operational stability and protect government data in line with the highest applicable security standards.
For his part, El Sayed noted that the SOE Unit, established under Law No. 170 of 2025, is responsible for inventorying and classifying state-owned enterprises, supporting portfolio management decisions, and implementing the State Ownership Policy document.
In this regard, the unit developed the Rashid platform, a national system for classifying wholly or partially state-owned enterprises. It links enterprise data with governance requirements and the State Ownership Policy, providing policymakers with a comprehensive, data-driven decision-support tool.
