TAQA Arabia to invest EGP 1.4B in petroleum products storage depot in Greater Cairo

Arab FinanceTAQA Arabia's board of directors has approved the establishment of a petroleum products storage depot in Greater Cairo, with an estimated investment cost of approximately EGP 1.4 billion, through its subsidiary TAQA for Petroleum Products Marketing, according to a bourse filing.

This aligns with the group’s objectives to streamline the supply of gasoline and diesel to its subsidiary as well as to other companies’ filling stations operating in Egypt.

The project will also help maximize returns generated from the provision of such products.

Such investment falls within the company’s strategy committee and the CEO's presentation regarding the proposed expansion into additional petroleum products storage depots, in addition to the two existing depots in Suez and Amreya/Alexandria.

In August, TAQA Arabia entered into a joint agreement with Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) and Africa50 for the East Africa LNG (EALNG) project.
