Lecico Egypt loss shrinks

ArabFinance: Lecico Egypt incurred a consolidated net loss of EGP 16.753 million in quarter one (Q1) 2021, according to the company’s May 26th financial statements filed to the Egyptian Exchange.

This marked a Year on Year (YoY) shrinks of 77% when compared to a net loss of EGP 72.053 million incurred in Q1 2020.

Standalone net loss reached EGP 32.072 million in Q1 2021, a 4% decline from EGP 33.438 million reported in the prior-year period.

The listed company announced last April a temporary shutdown of its Alexandria's factory due to the detection of COVID-19 cases.

Lecico is an Egypt-based public shareholding company engaged in the manufacture of tiles and sanitary ware products. The company offers its products through three segments: sanitary ware products, ceramic tiles, and brassware.
