ArabFinance: Medical Packaging Company (MEPA) posted a net profit of EGP 2.512 million in quarter one (Q1) 2021, according to the company’s June 3rd financial statements filed to the Egyptian Exchange.
This marked a Year on Year (YoY) rise of 54% when compared to EGP 1.632 million in Q1 2020.
The listed company is in talks with the National Bank of Egypt to obtain an EGP 40-million loan for the implementation of expansion and investment plans, according to the company's statement filed to the Egyptian Exchange.
The company will purchase equipment and machines for production lines in order to increase productivity.
Medical Packaging is an Egypt-based public shareholding company engaged in the manufacturing of medical and pharmaceutical packaging products. The company focuses on the operations and establishment of a factory for the production of glass containers for the purpose of medical, pharmacy, laboratories, cosmetics, and perfumes.
