Egypt’s remittances hit record $47.3B in FY2025/26: CBE

Arab Finance: Remittances from Egyptians working abroad rose 29.6% year on year (YoY) to a record $47.3 billion in fiscal year (FY) 2025/2026, according to data from the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

The inflows increased from approximately $36.5 billion in FY2024/2025, maintaining the strong growth recorded throughout the latest fiscal year.

In June 2026 alone, remittances climbed 15.6% YoY to approximately $4.2 billion, compared with around $3.6 billion in June 2025.
