GOEIC, Property Finder Egypt sign protocol to qualify real estate brokers for licensing

Arab Finance: The General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC) and Property Finder Egypt signed a cooperation protocol to qualify real estate brokers for professional licenses and strengthen compliance with regulations governing the sector, as per a statement.

The protocol was signed ahead of the July 2026 deadline for brokers to regularize their status under Law No. 21 of 2022, which amended provisions regulating commercial agency, commercial brokerage, and real estate brokerage activities.

Under the agreement, Property Finder Egypt will work with GOEIC to provide accredited training and qualification programs for its real estate broker partners, helping them meet licensing requirements and improve professional practices.

GOEIC will also provide technical consultations and specialized professional support services to promote best practices and enhance performance across the real estate brokerage market.

The training program covers the legislation governing real estate brokerage, the professional code of conduct, contract-drafting fundamentals, and anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing requirements, according to Hussein. It also includes the core skills required to practice real estate brokerage effectively.

The protocol supports government efforts to improve professionalism and transparency in the real estate brokerage market, protect stakeholders’ rights, and establish a more regulated environment for investors.

Essam El-Naggar, Chairman of GOEIC, said cooperation with Property Finder Egypt reflects the role of public-private partnerships in regulating the market. He added that GOEIC’s accredited training programs and consulting services would help improve brokers’ capabilities, enhance transparency, and protect the rights of market participants.

Sherif Soliman, Chief Revenue Officer at Property Finder, said the protocol marks a step toward a more legally compliant real estate market, supporting investor confidence and strengthening the Egyptian market’s competitiveness.

Nervein Magdy, Managing Director of Property Finder Egypt, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to helping its partners complete the required compliance procedures before the deadline.
